These terms govern your use of Unfold, a desktop archive utility published by IAM_DEV. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.

Permitted use

You may use Unfold to inspect and extract archives that you are legally permitted to access. You are responsible for the files you open, preview, extract, retain, or share.

Your files and backups

Unfold processes local files that you choose. You retain ownership of your files. Keep appropriate backups before extracting into folders that contain important data, especially when choosing to replace existing files or move an archive to Trash.

Archive safety

Archives may contain malicious, misleading, or unwanted content. Inspecting or extracting an archive does not guarantee that its contents are safe. Use trusted security software and exercise care with files from unknown sources.

Availability and changes

We may improve, change, or discontinue features. Format compatibility can vary with the archive, compression method, encryption, damage, or the capabilities available on the device.

No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, Unfold is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, complete compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, IAM_DEV is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including loss caused by damaged archives, overwritten files, unavailable formats, or failure to maintain backups.

Responsible conduct

You may not use the app in violation of applicable law or to infringe another person’s rights. You may not attempt to misuse Store distribution, interfere with the app, or represent yourself as the publisher.

Microsoft Store

Your acquisition and installation of Unfold through Microsoft Store may also be governed by Microsoft’s applicable store terms. If those terms conflict with these terms on a matter controlled by Microsoft, Microsoft’s terms apply to that matter.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app or legal requirements change. Continued use after an update means that the revised terms apply from their effective date.
