Privacy Policy

Unfold is a local desktop archive utility published by IAM_DEV. This policy explains what the app handles and what stays on your computer.

Archive and file content

Unfold opens archives that you choose and extracts files to destinations that you select. The app does not upload archive contents, previews, or extracted files to IAM_DEV or to a cloud service.

No accounts

Unfold has no account system. We do not collect account credentials, profile information, or payment information through the app.

Information stored on your device

The app stores preferences, extraction task status, logs, temporary previews, and—when enabled—paths to recently opened archives in its local application data folder. This information remains on your device. You can clear recent history in the app and can remove all local app data by uninstalling the app and deleting its application data.

Temporary previews

When you preview a supported file, Unfold may create a temporary local preview copy. These files are stored only in the app’s local data area and are not uploaded.

Support communications

If you contact us by email, we receive the email address and information that you choose to provide. We use it only to respond to your request and maintain necessary support records. Do not attach confidential archive contents unless they are necessary and you are comfortable sharing them.

Microsoft Store

Downloading or reviewing Unfold through Microsoft Store is subject to Microsoft’s own privacy practices. IAM_DEV does not control the information Microsoft processes for Store distribution.

Children’s privacy

Unfold is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app’s behavior or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
